We take Care Credit. On a case-by-case basis, we can split payments into two or three installments. If you have any questions, just ask!
Can I get a tooth pulled the same day?
Yes! Almost always! We can usually perform extractions the same day as your evaluation.
How do I know if I need an extraction or a root canal?
The only way to know for sure is with an exam and x-rays. In the vast majority of cases, if you have a realtoothache – severe, spontaneous pain – your options will be to get a root canal or an extraction. In somecases, there will not be enough tooth structure left to save the tooth. In many cases, there will!
Can I be sedated for a tooth extraction?
In most cases, yes – provided it is medically appropriate for you and you have a driver available.
Do you remove wisdom teeth?
We do! Most wisdom tooth extractions can be handled in-house without needing a referral.
What should I do if my face is swollen from a tooth infection?
If you have significant facial swelling, please call us and come in immediately! If you are having any trouble breathing or swallowing, call 911 or go straight to the emergency room.
Can I get a same-day root canal?
Usually, yes. In many cases, we can complete the root canal the same day. If the full treatment cannot be completed that day, we can almost always perform a procedure same-day to get you out of pain and then have you return within 1–2 weeks to complete treatment.
Will antibiotics fix a tooth infection?
No – but sometimes they can help! Antibiotics can be used adjunctively with definitive treatment, such as a root canal or an extraction, to improve chances of overall success. Antibiotics alone will not resolve a dental abscess long-term if definitive treatment is not performed. Whether antibiotics are needed is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Do I need a crown after a root canal?
It depends on the tooth. Most anterior teeth – front teeth – can be fixed with a filling after a root canal. In some cases, when there is not enough structure left for that to be possible, a crown will be necessary. Generally speaking, a posterior tooth – a molar or premolar – will need a crown after a root canal to protect it from fracture. If you have a pre-existing crown with sound margins on the tooth, it can often be saved.
Can I get sedation for a root canal?
In most cases, yes – provided it is medically appropriate for you and you have a driver available.
Do you accept emergency patients?
Absolutely! Our clinic is set up to accept dental emergencies and patients in pain! Give us a call!
Will a tooth extraction hurt?
The truth is… maybe a little. Sometimes you will feel a little pinch as you are getting numb. Then, after your extraction, it’s normal to have a sore gum for a few days. Any discomfort during or after a tooth extraction is usually far less than the pain of an active toothache.
Can you see me today for a toothache?
Yes! A primary objective of our clinic is to be available same-day for patients in pain! Give us a call!
